All EK products are handmade. As a result:

• Minor variations in colour, size, texture, or finish may occur
• These variations are a natural feature of handmade goods and are not considered defects

4. Pricing and Payment

• All prices are displayed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless stated otherwise
• Prices may change without notice
• Shipping costs are calculated upon receiving your order and will be confirmed to you before finalising your order
• Payment must be made in full before an order is processed
• We accept payment via bank transfer only. Card payments will also be accepted in the near future

 

5. Orders

• Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase
• EK reserves the right to accept, decline, or cancel orders due to availability, errors, or suspected misuse
• An order is confirmed once you receive an order confirmation email

 

6. Shipping and Delivery

• Orders are usually dispatched within 3-5 business days, excluding commissions 
• The estimated delivery time for non rural addresses within the South Island is 4-7 business days. For rural areas and the North Island, allow 7-10 business days for delivery.
• Commissioned art will be despatched as soon as the design is agreed by you and the artwork is completed. You will be notified when it is completed and ready to dispatch 
• Delivery timeframes are estimates only
• EK is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, or events beyond our control
• Risk passes to the customer once the order has been dispatched

 

7. International Orders

• EK ships to selected international destinations
• International customers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, VAT/GST, and clearance fees
• EK has no control over customs processing and is not responsible for delays, seizures, or additional charges
• International delivery estimates will be confirmed upon receiving your order and are indicative only
• Risk of loss passes to the customer once the order leaves New Zealand

 

8. Refunds, Returns, and Consumer Rights

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ)

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If a product is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

 

Handmade and Custom Items

• Slight variations due to the handmade nature of products are not faults
• Custom or personalised items cannot be returned for change of mind

 

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives faulty or damaged:

• Contact us within 28 days of delivery
• Provide your order number and clear photos

For international orders, additional assessment time may be required.

 

Change of Mind

EK does not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases unless otherwise stated.

EK permits a cooling-off period of 2 business days only. You may cancel your order via email within this period to receive a full refund.

 

Returns

 

• To initiate a return contact us via email within 28 days of delivery.  After this period returns will not be accepted.
• Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is faulty
• Original shipping costs, customs charges, and taxes are non-refundable
• EK is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit

 

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5 business days.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, designs, text, and logos, is the intellectual property of EK and may not be copied or used without written permission.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EK is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or its products.

This clause does not limit any rights under New Zealand consumer law.
